Pick Of The Bunch_ The best, the outstanding one in a group.
Starting my research for the idiom in question this time is a very modern, minimal looking bunch of flowers...

Marie Woods has painted this interesting image of a little girl picking flowers. This would illustrate the idiom perfectly, but again, not my style of working or illustrating.

Margaret Willes has illustrated the idiom in book form and has included flowers on the front... but what if i wasn't to use flowers? I have asked around and it turns out that bananas or grapes would be more suitable for the job of illustrating the idiom...

So, with bananas in mind, here is 'Still Life fruit' by Derek McCrea which features bananas in context.

With grapes in mind, here is a clip art image of a bunch. Simple and something that i can see working well in the style of my previous card range...

Ah, this could be misconstrued for this idiom:
And also, pick of the bunch does seemw ay more banana friendly a phrase.

Ulrike Martin has painted this bunch of bananas at an interesting, almost floating angle.

Another interesting angle is this painting by Carolyn Finnell and her bananas.

Elana Scudder has an outcome much like i'm hoping for here. We'll see how my outcomes differ later on...

A simple clip art image of a bunch here, again to so dissimilar to what im hoping my outcome will be like...

having thought about literally picking form the bunch, from my sketchbook development i have chosen to do just that and pick a singular banana. Below are my photographs of my reference:
Having collected and finalised my imagery here is the card below in the template i hope to continue with. I have chosen to do this because of the success the last range had with peers and tutors, thus not wanting to deviate too far. Note that the text is in the same fashion as the previous card range, adding continuity:
Here is the front and inside of the envelope developed and adapted from the previous card range project. I have changed the imagery to suit and complement this particular card. I am sticking with this design because it works most effectively and was a success previously.
